I will be at the Northwest Baptist Church with my friend Pastor Craig Canton February 18-20, 2011, and looking forward to seeing him and preaching God's Word. Craig's mom, Joyce Canton, was one of the most godly women I have ever met. I served as her pastor in Keller TX at Mount Gilead Baptist Church. She went to be with the Lord 15 years ago this month. Please pray for our spiritual awakening conference that God would move in powerful ways in Gainesville, FL.
The Lord continues to bless and we are so grateful. A few days ago I received a note from a missionary in China who watches on the Internet our TV broadcasts here at Great Hills Baptist Church, and it blessed me to know that God is using us here to reach one of His servants half way around the world!
Our TV broadcast continues to go all over the nation on DIREC TV. Thank you again to all who support us prayerfully and financially. Let me know if I can pray for you.
Sincerely,
Danny Forshee

On Sunday January 30, 2011 I am preaching a sermon entitled, "Restarting with Our Physical Bodies." If you know Christ as your Savior and Lord then the Bible says that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who lives in you (1 Corinthians 6:19). I have never preached a whole sermon on taking care of our bodies, but I am honored to do so and very much looking forward to preaching this message, not to condemn but to bless, encourage, and hopefully motivate you. One of our church members here at Great Hills in Austin, TX told me last week that Paul tells us our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, and then he grabbed his stomach and said, “I am building a mega church!” I must say I laughed so hard and so did everyone else in the room. And I hope we can laugh, but also become serious about wellness through proper exercise, nutrition, rest, and physical check-ups.
If you know someone that would be blessed from this message, please note that each Sunday we stream our services live on the Internet at www.ghbc.org and broadcast a 30-minute program at 10 o’clock a.m. on KVUE the local ABC affiliate here in Austin. And we also broadcast the sermons on national TV through DIREC TV with NRB. You can view them at 12:30 p.m. each Sunday afternoon (CST). In addition, you can view the sermons on video on our recently updated website here at Great HIlls or download the sermon audio files through iTunes at no charge!
Our passion is to become a Radiant people of God – reaching upward to Him in worship – inward allowing His Word to change our lives – and outward showing expressions of His love to others!

We are off to a great 2011. God is working and blessing and I am so very grateful. God is moving here at Great Hills and that is such an encouragement to see so many lives being changed by the power of God's Word. Please continue to pray for us here.
DFEA is going strong. God has given me some wonderful opportunites to speak this winter/spring. Take a moment and look at the speaking schedule and pray for me as I go to these different places and preach God's Word. The TV ministry on NRB continues to touch lives. Please keep praying for this ministry and if the LORD leads you, contribute to DFEA to help us with the air time. We curently pay $500.00 a week, and that is a great price, but we are totally dependent on the Lord's people blessing and supporting us. We need your help and if the LORD so puts DFEA on your hearts, please support us in this ministry of proclaiming Christ.
Many of you know I am from AL and yes I am a huge Auburn University fan, and it is great to be an Auburn Tiger! Very happy for my Tigers winning the National Championship! We have some great Christian coaches. Pastor Michael Catt at Sherwood Baptist in GA told me in December that Mrs. Chizik, Coach Gene's wife, told him that God spoke to her husband's heart a couple of years back and said I am sending you to Auburn and the only way that will happen is because I will do it. Chizik's head coaching record prior to going to AU was a paltry 5-19, but look what has happened. God has blessed him and the team. And he also has a great staff with people like Gus Malzahn, AU's offensive coordinator who is also a strong believer.
Hope you have a blessed 2011. Let me know if I can pray for you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope this blog finds you having a very blessed Holiday Season. We are gearing up for a great time tonight at our annual Christmas Eve service at GHBC. We are expecting a large gathering to come and celebrate the Reason for this blessed Season—the Lord Jesus Christ. We will sing Christmas carols, watch our staff share on video some of their favorite Christmas memories, and I will tell the gospel of Jesus using a candy cane. And oh yes, we will have a time of singing Silent Night by candlelight! It is going to be a fun and worshipful night so please come on out at 5:00 p.m. and we will be done at 5:45 p.m. I spoke to one of our church members today and he told me he knows of 8 people that he is bringing!
This Sunday is our penultimate (next to last) sermon on the Hebrew Names of God. We are studying the name Jehovah Shammah—the LORD Is There from Isaiah 48:35. There is a clear and palpable difference when God is absent or present in a person’s life, home, marriage, church, company, and nation.
I know many are traveling this time of year and I pray God’s blessings and protection on you and your loved ones as you travel. Ashley and the kids and I will take some time away and spend with family in Alabama. Pray for our protection and relaxation. I look forward to getting away and resting and then charging again right into the New Year of 2011. God is richly blessing our church at GHBC. And He continues to grant blessings and favor to DFEA as He provides for our weekly TV broadcast on DIREC TV. I thank the Lord so much for placing our ministry on people's hearts who pray for us, invite me to preach God's Word, and support us financially. We are very blessed and thank you. If you are on our DFEA mail out list you should be getting a family photo soon.
Blessings to you and again have a merry CHRISTmas.

God continues to bless and we are so grateful. He continues to open doors to preach His Word. He is moving in our midst here at Great Hills Baptist Church. And I am looking forward to some neat preaching opportunities through DFEA in 2011. Our local and national TV broadcasts continue to go very well and I am so grateful to God for the ways He allows us to reach many through media. We have a great media staff here at GH; Russell Hartsfield and his team do a tremendous job.
Ashley and the kids are doing great and we are wide open busy with Bryant and basketball and Leighton and tennis.
Let me know if you would like to order a copy of our new prayer devotionals. I helped write chapter or week 9, and Thomas Nelson did a nice job on the cover and format.
Got to go, heading to another Christmas party; tis the season, and I am enjoying it so very much.
