Happy Friday! I want us to go back a little bit for the song I want to bring up today. It is Agnus Dei by Michael W. Smith. This may be a song you're familiar with, and if it's not, you should get familiar with it, because it is AMAZING! Here is the verse:

For the Lord God Almighty reigns

...and the chorus:

Holy, holy
Are You Lord God, Almighty
Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb
Amen

Now... those are basically all the lyrics to the song. It is a very SIMPLE song in lyrics but a very POWERFUL song to sing in faith! This song reminds me of Psalm 103:1 from above. It is small but powerful and worthy to be sung with the whole heart.

This song declares that our God REIGNS, that He is HOLY, and that He is WORTHY! This is a song to sing when times are good and you want to worship God and thank Him for who He is and for being good to you in this season of life. It is also good to sing when you are in a tougher or more challenging season.

We talked yesterday about going through storms, and this is definitely a storm song, because in faith, we sometimes have to remind ourselves of the truth of who God is, even in the midst of a hard season in life where it is hard to see God working.

Whatever "season" you're going through right now, take time to worship the Lord God Almighty who reigns over all. Take time to worship the Holy God. Take time to worship the Worthy Lamb. Take time to do what the Psalmist says: "praise His holy name."
