"Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep."
(Romans 12:15)
God is able. He can do all things by His mighty power. The issue at hand is, do we trust God? Can we worship and serve while we wait? Yesterday, I wrote about 2 Timothy 1:8 where Paul admonished Timothy to not be ashamed of the testimony of Jesus or of himself as a prisoner of the Lord; rather, Timothy was to share in Paul's sufferings.
I thought of so many Christians suffering in the world, like the Church in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). A friend sent the following update to me from MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship). This is a great ministry where pilots fly into hard-to-reach places to assist missionaries who are faithfully serving the Lord, some in very difficult places. Chad, one of our church members at Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton, VA, has served as a missionary pilot with MAF for many years. In fact, he flew three of us to a Sudanese refugee camp. We flew over Mount Kilimanjaro, and that was quite an experience. (Small planes and I don't get along very well, and I nearly lost my lunch a few times, but the Lord had mercy on me!)
