Here are some of the lyrics:
Oh death, I will not be afraid
In the end, you will lose
I will dance on your grave with the One who buried you
You ain't nothin' but a stone that my Savior rolled away
Set you straight and set me free
Oh death, you are dead to me
Jesus gives aid to humanity. The seed of Abraham refers to believers in Jesus. Abraham was a man of faith who believed God's promises (Genesis 15:6). We too are saved not by our works but by faith in God. Jesus became like us, and as we see in verse 18, He was tempted like us, but He never sinned. He died in our place and arose from the dead. He alone has the power to aid us in every dimension of this life and the next!
He does not do so for angels but for all who call upon Him in faith, believe, and repent. Twice in one verse we read the word "aid." Jesus aids us. The word means to help, and I like this definition: "rescue from peril."
Dr. Al Mohler states in his commentary on Hebrews, "Christ is superior to the angels because He himself is the image of the invisible God and the redeemer of the pinnacle of God's creative activity—mankind. Indeed, as the One who helps 'Abraham's offspring,' his work is intimately interwoven within the entire fabric of redemptive history. Christ is the white-hot center of God's purposes and plan for humanity." (Source: Mohler, R. A., Jr. (2017). Exalting Jesus in Hebrews (pp. 34–39). Holman Reference.)
Jesus is the only ONE who can truly aid, ameliorate, improve your circumstances. He created you, loves you, died for you, and has prepared a place in heaven for you. Whatever troubles you or wherever you need assistance, the Son of God has the power to do it. You only must ask in faith that He can, and He will.
