God speaks to us through His word, people, and the world. This week, I am especially grateful for the people that God has used to help me love Him more!

This week's devotions are written by my son, Bryant Forshee, Lead Student Pastor for Cross Church, Springdale, AR campus.
- Pastor Danny
"He must increase, but I must decrease."

(John 3:30, CSB)

Danny, Ashley, Tom, and Critter are four examples of people who have shown me what it means to live out different elements of a personal relationship with Jesus! Danny taught me to love the Lord with everything, Ashley taught me to love the word of God, Tom taught me to disciple, and Critter taught me to hide the Word of God in my heart. It is amazing to see how God uses different people in your life to help you love Him more!

When I think about these four people, I think about John 3:30! It is the famous passage of scripture from John the Baptist. All four of the people I mentioned really have that heart of not making things about them and wanting to get out of the way to make things all about Jesus! When I thought of this verse, it made me think of the song "Greater" by Central Live. Here is the chorus and bridge:

Chorus:
Greater, You are greater
And I must become less
As You become even greater

Bridge:
Let heaven open wide
Let Your glory shine
Let the whole world see
You are alive in me

Let this song be the anthem of our lives as followers of Jesus: Jesus must increase in our lives, and we must decrease. When you have people in your life who live out this verse and who live out this song, don't take them for granted. In fact, make a list of people in your life who have encouraged you in your personal relationship with Jesus. As you compile your list, give those people a call and tell them what they have meant to you. If you see them in person, tell them in person what they mean to you.

God speaks to us through His word, through people, and through the world. This week, I am especially grateful for the people that God has used to help me love Him more!
