"When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, 'Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?' She said, 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said to her, 'Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.'"
(John 8:10-11)
Jay Strack lives in Orlando, FL, but his influence for Christ literally reaches around the world. He is a good friend of mine and someone I truly respect. Jay has a favorite saying that goes like this: "A good friend is someone who shares his friends." God uses relationships to further His Kingdom here on earth. There are so many wonderful Christian servant leaders who are making an impact for the Gospel, and one of those people is my friend Shane Pruitt. If you do not know him, take a moment to type his name in a Google search, and you will see that he is a man who loves Jesus, his family, the Church, the Gospel, and the lost. He has a passion to know the Lord and make Him known.
One of the things I appreciate most about Shane is his focus on both grace and truth. He is a grace and truth preacher! What does that mean? He is kind toward sinners but harsh on sin. Like Jesus, Shane loves people who are far from God. Shane is one of the leading evangelists in America today, and I am thrilled to see the many ways God is blessing and using him.
One of his recent posts on Facebook reads:
"Jesus didn't hang out with sinners because He wanted to appear inclusive, tolerant, and accepting. He spent time with them to show them who He was and how to live differently. His goal is to transform lives, not affirm sin."
Do you hear the grace and truth combination? Jesus hung out with sinners because He loved them (grace), but Jesus was not accepting of sinful lifestyles (truth); rather, He confronted sinners with the truth but in a gracious and kind way.
Shane and Kasi and their family attend Lakepointe Church, Rockwall, led by Pastor Josh Howerton. Now, there's another grace and truth preacher! If you are unfamiliar with Josh, check him out online or on social media. His podcasts are powerful and watched by many.
Who are some of your friends that you could bless by introducing them to your other friends? Who knows, you might be just the person that God uses to bless many by simply introducing your friends to others who would be blessed by the introduction.
