Pastor Danny's Top 10 Principles to Live By, Pt. 2

Pastor Danny's Top 10 Principles to Live By, Pt. 2

Everyone you meet or encounter today will need encouragement. Every soul is battling something, and for some, the battle is quite severe.

Pastor Danny's Top 10 Principles to Live By, Pt. 2

"But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

(Acts 20:24)

Yesterday, I wrote about the first five principles, and they are: 1. pray, 2. read Scripture, 3. sing praises to God, 4. put on the full armor of God, and 5. be filled with the Holy Spirit. Today, we will look at the remaining five principles.
  1. Love and serve your families well. "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her... Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband" (Ephesians 5:25, 33). If God blesses you with marriage and children, then the best advice I can give you is to love and serve each other well!

  2. Tell everyone about Jesus. Romans 1:16 says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." Those who repent and believe, disciple them. All those whom God calls to salvation He also calls to be fishers of men (Matthew 4:19).

  3. Disciple others, invest in them, and raise up leaders (Matthew 28:18-20). "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (2 Timothy 2:2). Everyone needs a Paul who mentors them, a Timothy whom they disciple, and a Barnabas who encourages them.

  4. Encourage one another. Everyone you meet or encounter today will need encouragement. Every soul is battling something, and for some, the battle is quite severe. Hebrews 3:13 says, "But exhort one another daily, while it is called 'Today,' lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." Proverbs 12:25 states, "Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad."

  5. Endure; persevere when it's hard. "Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing" (2 Timothy 4:8). Finish well, push through, and do not quit until the Lord is finished with you and takes you home.
Well, there you have it: my top ten principles of living the Christian life victoriously. I hope these help you!
