Million Little Miracles

Million Little Miracles

There is something so powerful about recalling and remembering God's past faithfulness that fuels and accelerates present faithfulness and dependence.

Million Little Miracles

This week's devotions are written by my son, Bryant Forshee, Lead Student Pastor for Cross Church, Springdale, AR campus.
- Pastor Danny
"Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given."

(Psalm 105:5, NLT)

Today I want to take you back a few years to 2021, when a certain song came out: "Million Little Miracles". Let's look at the chorus:

I've got miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four,
I can't even count 'em all

This song wraps up this week perfectly!
  • We have discussed what miracles are: a supernatural and unexplainable work of God.
  • We have discussed a man of miracles whose obedience and faith led to the miracles he experienced: Elijah.
  • We have discussed the most incredible miracle available to humanity: salvation.
  • We have discussed a modern-day miracle and how often all Christians experience small ones: daily.
  • We have discussed the giver of all the miracles and good gifts: God.
So today, give this song a listen, and think about all the million little miracles that have been a part of your life. Think of the big ones, the little ones, and the ones in between. Think about these miracles and then do what Psalm 105:5 tells you to do: remember them! There is something so powerful about recalling and remembering God's past faithfulness that fuels and accelerates present faithfulness and dependence. As you do this recalling exercise of the million little miracles in your life, I want you to leave this week with the sentiment of these lyrics from the song today:

You held me steady so I wouldn't give up
You opened doors that nobody could shut
I hope I never get over what You've done

I hope we never get over what God has done in our lives!

The last challenge I will leave you with this week is to tell someone about the miracles of God you have seen in your life. Tell your children of the miracles you have seen. Tell your spouse of a miracle you've never shared with him or her. Tell a friend about a miracle. Tell someone about God's supernatural and undeniable work He has done in your life!

In fact, tell us here at DFEA about the miracles you have experienced in your life! Reply to us and tell us of God's amazing miracles He has done in your life!
